I named this collection for one of my favorite characters in literature. I love Anne. She is there when you young and exploring the world around you, she is there when you are ambitious, she is there when those ambitions succeed, she is there when you strike out on your own, she is there when you fail miserably, she is there when you are reckless, she is there when your fear cripples you, she is there when you fall in love, she is there when your heart breaks and she is there when you experience loss that you will never quite recover from. She wills you to embrace all the lessons that all these things teach you even when you learn them reluctantly. I think everyone needs such an incorrigible friend in their life. (Isn’t it interesting how much incorrigible and encouraging have in common.)

Using an H hook

Ch 8 join to the first ch made to create a loop

Fan 1
Row 1. Ch 4 (counts as first treble crochet.) 13 tr in loop, turn. (14 tr crochet)

Row 2. Ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), (dc into next tr, ch 1), repeat 12 times, dc in last tr on row 1, turn. (14dc, 13 ch 1 space)

Row 3. Working into 1 chain space (1sc, 2ch, 1sc) picot made , repeat 9 times, into the 11^th space sc, ch 5, skip next 3 spaces, sc in 3^rd chain on first dc on row 2, turn. (10 picot, 2 sc, 5 ch)

Fan 2

Row 5. Ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), (dc into next tr, ch 1), repeat 12 times, dc in last tr on row 4, turn. (14dc, 13 ch 1 space)

Row 6. Repeat row 3. (This completes fan 2)

Fan 3

Row 7. Repeat Row 4

Row 9. Repeat Row 3.

Repeat Fan 3 until you have 15 fans.

On last row make a picot in all 13 spaces, then secure with slp stitch into the 7th picot of row 3 of fan 14. Finish off and weave in ends.
